El Vergel is a town of just over 5,000 inhabitants, situated approximately 3km from the Mediterranean Sea and 8km from Denia, giving you the perfect mix of beaches and access to the large working town of Denia. El Vergel is 91 km from both Valencia and Alicante.
Vergel is split in two by the River Girona, with the largest part of the town located on the western side of the river, there are three bridges providing access to the other side and to the Sea beyond.
The main attractions in this town are the Main Street, two medieval towers, a neoclassical church and a safari park. Behind El Vergel lies the Segaria mountain range, always a popular place for hikers. A large part of the surrounding lands are dedicated to agriculture, specifically vegetables and citrus fruits.
